Guide to Heaven
5-A-Day Scripture Reading Plan for Spiritual Health
King James Version
Prepare for Heaven by knowing what God says in His Word.
“Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall: For so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Wherefore I will not be negligent to put you always in remembrance of these things, though ye know them , and be established in the present truth.”
--2 Peter 1:10-12
The Heaven Challenge:
Since I want to go to Heaven, I am willing to learn what God wants to teach me in His Word. I want God's truth to become a part of my life.
(It is suggested that you read this book Guide to Heaven at least within a one year period, which would average only 5 scriptures per day. Of course, this book could be read in just a few days! Please don't just rush through it, though: absorb it!
About this book:
This book is not sponsored by or affiliated with any denomination. The purpose of the book is to present biblical truth, apart from any creed or bias.
The topics in this book were selected because at least 5 scriptures were found that answer a specific question. This places them in the highest category of importance. It is obvious that God wants us to know these truths.
If the scriptures in this book present truth that is unfamiliar to you, the prudent response would be to choose Bible truth over the explanations of man. God will honor those who take His Word as supreme. Are YOU willing to receive God's truth, no matter what the cost?
Here is a challenge to dig deeper into the Word. If you can find scriptures that you believe provide a more biblically sound answer than the ones that are selected, please let me know! Be sure to find scriptures that haven't been used.

Guide to Heaven is a compilation of beautiful Words of Life – straight from God! These Words from the Bible will guide you to heaven, because we have this promise: “ Thou shalt guide me with thy counsel, and afterward receive me to glory.” Psalm 73:24
The Bible is truly the only counsel that will lead us to the glory of Heaven. We MUST know what the Word of God says if we expect to go to heaven.
This compilation of scriptures is called Guide to Heaven because it contains the most important texts in the Bible. If God repeats a truth at least 5 times in His Word, we can be certain it is a significant truth He wants us to know. Each question is answered by 5 scriptures, so that we can understand God's truth, uncluttered by the opinions of man.
In order to explore a variety of texts, no scripture is used more than two times. That way, you will access a broad spectrum of the Word, from one end to the other. Studying the Word topically clarifies ones beliefs, and guards against deception and error. It is suggested that you read the questions in consecutive order, as each one builds on the previous answer.
In taking the Heaven Challenge , you are declaring that, since you are planning on going to heaven, you intend to learn the truth that God wants you to know. As a bare minimum, you should plan to read at least one question with the corresponding 5 scriptures per day. Within one year, you will have gained a tremendous knowledge of God's precious truth. And you need to do more than just read it. You need to digest it, and incorporate it into your life. That is how you get ready for heaven, by treasuring God's Words. Jesus explained that He wants His Words to abide in us. That means He wants His Words to be continually running through our minds, influencing our thoughts and actions at all times.
That is how we become His children. That is how we do His will. That is how we follow Him. Then we can claim His promise: “I will come again, and receive you unto myself, that where I am, there ye may be also.” John 14:3
Please pray each day before you read this Guide to Heaven , that the Holy Spirit will guide you into all truth. Remember, the Word is not subject to our opinions and ideas. We must be willing to accept what God says.
This book will be most effective, and truly a Guide to Heaven if you will read it in this way: Read the question as your own earnest inquiry to God, as you eagerly await His answer. Then read the texts as God's personal answer to you. Let His Word soak into your soul as you ponder the depth of meaning. As you listen to God with your heart wide open, you will allow the Holy Spirit to speak with you, and these spiritual truths will come alive with meaning. Then, a prayer of response will arise from your own heart, as God's blessed truth becomes your own personal treasure. You will be amazed at the transforming power of the Word!
